A Winter Bog Hike

Blog Post 2

Shortly after receiving my first roll of film back from the photo lab, there was one hell of a snowfall that left me itching to take my camera out on the next hike. I felt unreasonably excited to see what a different lighting situation would look like on the Minolta, considering it was only my second roll of film that I’d be playing around with. I enjoy that thrill of finding a new hobby - taking the time needed for each moment.

Unfortunately, I seemed to have really enjoyed taking my sweet time for each moment just a little too much. After about an hour and a half of taking photos and standing around to take in the scenery, I realized I had only walked one mile out of the six needed AND that the sun would set in about two and a half hours. I understood turning around and walking back to the car would be a perfectly viable solution, but I was so bent on hiking with all of the snow. Anyways, I pretty much finished my entire roll right then and there and just high-tailed it for the rest of the hike.

There are some photos I took in Philly in this mix as well. Enjoy!
